We were guided through the underwater tunnels by a man called Louis, he was funny and kept everyone calm, he did, however, seem a little frustrated when we were going through tights spots and some people (ahem, ie me scraped their snorkels against the stalagmites).
Anyway we went through regardless and saw some breathtaking things, it's sounds like an exaggeration but it really wasn't, I've never seen anything like it and I doubt I will again.
Here are just a few from the outside...

... And then we headed to the open Cenotes.
This was just as beautiful but open-aired so a little less daunting. Here we just swam about and pulled in by the current. A couple of us attempted to paddle board but gave up when the current inevitably pulled us into the shore.
After that we headed to the other side of the road, where there was a beach. It was stunning, all white sands and palm trees, *sigh* why don't I live here all the time?!
This guy gets it...
We ordered some food and obligatory cocktails at the beach bar, and admittedly I got tipsy, standard. But it was fun and we watched the dogs playing in the sea.
P
So not masses to report just lots of photos to make you jealous I'm afraid :p it is truly amazing out here and unlike anything I've ever seen.... Next stop the Caribbean!
XOXO
